NEW WESTMINSTER, BC – TransLink has released its upcoming Spring Service Changes which will see a new express bus route operating between the River District and Marine Drive Station. Route 80 is expected to serve 400 to 500 customers each weekday and will complement service on existing routes 100 and 31.

Some of the service highlights include:

  • New route 80 Marine Dr/River District express bus during weekday peak hours
  • Service increases on 19 routes in Delta, Surrey, White Rock, and Langley
  • Service increases on 12 routes to outdoor destinations, including Stanley Park, White Pine Beach, Lynn Canyon, and Grouse Mountain
  • More weekday peak service on route 345 King George Station/White Rock Centre
  • More service on route 147 Metrotown Station/Edmonds Station

Service adjustments are being made on 68 bus routes in total, in order to best allocate bus service to meet customer demand. Some routes will have service increases at busier times of the day, offset by reductions during periods of lower demand. Routes 32 and 480, which have been suspended for the past three years, will not be returning to service.

The changes will take effect on April 17, 2023. Go to translink.ca/servicechanges for more information on specific route changes.

Transit service changes occur every January, April, June, and September; they are based on seasonal patterns and recent trends in customer demand. TransLink continues to monitor ridership to ensure service is provided where it’s needed most.
